Vegas
Returning for 2006, the Vegas now features the company’s 100-cubic-inch (1634cc), 50-
degree, V-Twin Freedom engine introduced only in the Hammer last season. The entire 2006 model line, except for the Touring Cruiser, in fact, features this newer design, larger displacement, fuel-injected engine. The Vegas features a six-speed tranny with true overdrive. The engine is claimed to pump out an additional 10 hp and 22 ft.-lbs. of torque over the previous 92-inch mill. Featuring hydraulic lifters and a self-adjusting cam chain, the engine is also said to produce less mechanical noise. Engine cases are narrower and thus allow for a narrower frame with better cornering clearance. The Vegas retains its 21-inch front wheel, split-tail fuel tank, forward controls and flush-mount taillight. It gains a larger volume staggered exhaust as well a narrower frame to accommodate the new engine. There are numerous color options for 2006, including solids and various paint schemes. (Victory also offers a Custom Order Program, but orders must be placed between August-October for the following model year.)
