An update on my refund request... Yesterday I received the third copy of "Rider" since the demise of AR and still no sign of the promised refund. I suspect I will probably get a letter advising me that my refund has been reduced by the number of "Rider" magazines I have been sent, in spite of my request not to sully my mailbox with this product.
I am really missing Joe Minton and his take on the mechanics of our American machines. Although the other writers were entertaining and often thought provoking, "The Wizard" provided me with real information that I could effectively put to use when wrenching my ride. If anyone on this board can advise me of his whereabouts, the information would be greatly appreciated.
In the meantime, keep the pressure on for refunds. Now that there is no more AR, I have subscribed to American Iron and found it to be a reasonable substitute. Now if only they would hire Minton...

thanx, ...stu.
I'm quite happy to see a touring RG return to the line up. And I'm a real fan of the 103 motor ...even more so than I am of the 110.

I've always enjoyed HOG magazine, even tho it is very sporadic. Quality writing, quality publication.
So Reg, do you want me to put a hammer-lock on Matt King to keep you as a regular contributor, or is it not enough to hold your interest?

Thanx, Alex. I enjoy writing for HOG.
This has not always been the case, however. In their distant past the heavy hand of a ...censor... ruled the content.
Once the pub's responsibility was given to Paul James and Matt King, however, things changed very much for the better. It is still a captive publication, obviously, but you are given a lot more leeway in what you write. In fact, Matt's instructions to me were simply, compare the bat vs. shark riding experience. Plus, the overall quality of the book is quite good, no, make that very good.
I wish American Rider had had somewhere near the budget that HOG enjoys.

So much for American Rider becoming an internet magazine. It does not appear to have been updated for months. The truth is it has been abandoned. Still don't like Rider nearly as well.
