All that snow piled up outside has most folks depressed. Heck, I haven't even uncovered my bike since last October. And I don't want to know how sunny and warm it is in Florida right now!

Hey KZGB, I heard on the news that all the mid-western states had big snow still. Did Indiana miss the fun?

I think we have a lot of readers, not as many that will actually jump in. It is a different group here, but I am comfortable. When I first got my Ultra, I was a subscriber to American Iron, as well as Rider, and several others. As I have gotten the bike set up the way I want, I have less interest in reading about the new stuff. Now, with my wife retired, and my daughter and grand daughter living at home, I am riding much less, as well as spending less time on the web. The AI forum is a great source of info, but here seems to be more about the people. How many forums have a thread active with over 500,000 posts, like on the American V-Twin side?

Amen, Ride Slow! Ive looked at various forums and was overwhelmed by all the threads. Way too many to spend all my time reading. I also looked at another site called Adventure Rider a friend suggested. Total waste of time.
First thing I saw was a thread called "Why do you hate Harley's?" Could'nt believe there were so many hateful entries, like 3,600. Read a few entries, then gave up. 98% were written by idiots that can't spell, much less put a whole sentence together. Profanity and vulgar pictures were so common, I wondered who is supposed to be monitoring this site. Saw one guys tag repeatedly, so I looked at his profile. Typical texter type: you need a code-reader to decipher, and saw that this moron averages 18 entries a day. Must not have a job or a life.
The common theme there was that sport bikes are faster--therefore better. They get their egos pumped by breaking all the laws on the road, thinking they are way cool, then stupidly bragging about it. I've never before seen such an endless littany of ignorance.

Hey guys,
How you all been? AtD, I know the type you are talking about. They are the ones who try to out run the law. Sometimes they get away and sometimes they don't.
Sometimes you read about them in the obits. I learned a long long time ago, no matter how fast my scoot is there is always one faster and a rider crazier than me. ( LORD only knows why I am still here ) Now that I'm old and wiser, I just putt around and enjoy the RIDE. I might be wrong, but I think most everybody on this site feels the same, It's not the speed, it's the RIDE. All our scoots are built the way we like them. We have nothing to prove to anybody.
WE all just love to RIDE. Everybody Have Fun and RIDE SAFE.

We got to be older, Kpapa, because we were lucky to survive those experiences. I hope we are wiser than some of these young "organ donors" if only because tomorrow brings another day to be alive to ride, instead of reading about them in the newspaper. And no amount of thrills are worth bragging about while laying in the emergency room or jail. Unfortunately, some think fun is defined by "breaking all the laws of physics and the road".

If you think thats bad, try Cycle Worlds website. Almost all the posts degrade down to Your anti american if you ride anything but a harley, or you get posts like, if you ride a harley your an A hole.
One of the worlds worst riding websites IMHO.
Whatever you ride, have fun, and stay safe is my motto.
