...after many years of deliberation....deep thought....angst....mindless mumblings.....yearnings...loathings....flip-flopping....
...I decided to get inked !!!
...lordy..lordy...lordy...what an experience.....it wuz everything I thought it wuz going to be.....tattoo parlor....clean, but seedy looking at the same time....
...very experience young lady was chosen for me....I did mah own design work....
....I wuze amazed at the steady stream of people coming and going...a lot of young kids...12-16 year old...come with their mamma or pappa...whole families were there...
...anyway...I am now sporting a highly personalized tat on my shoulder.....I love it...and am already planning the next one..
...no true biker dude oughta be widdout his tat....right :-)

...aw...g'wan, RideSlow...take the plunge....'jes git a teeny weeny tat...somewhere only yer wife kin see it.....
...while I was getting inked...there was a chick on the other side of the room getting her back inked...the design was actually very beautiful...I went over and looked...it was brilliantly done...the tattoo artist ( a woman ) was clearly a gifted artist...the tattoo was a very intricate face within a face with florals...
...I suppose not many will see it or appreciate it...
...on the other hand..there was a guy in there who was their " piercing" expert....who had his whole face tattooed to make it look like his face was cradled in a pair of hands.....it was completely bizarre...plus he had dem big ear plugs in and a variety of rings in a variety of places....one can only imagine what else and where else...
...while the procedure was not overly painful....more like an irritating scratch....mine is on my shoulder...I'm led to understand that getting tattoos near a bone can be horrific.....
....anyway...the deed is done...I'm very pleased with the end result...my tat is my daughters name intricately woven into a dream catcher design....
..I had promised my daughter in a wild and irrationable moment...that I would tattoo her name on my shoulder....my big mouth......getting me into trouble as usual....so I finally had to do it to save face with her...just one of the many things dads sometimes do for their daughters...

I don't have any ink. Never could decise what and where. Probably won't get one. My best friend and tattoo artist died a few years ago.

Dude living across the street from me is a talented artist, with a lot of ink. 2 of my 3 kids and wife are inked. I be jus a spectator.

....well...once you git one.....you can't stop...I need one on my other shoulder now to " balance" things out...otherwise I'll walk with a lopsided gait....
...anyway...you can't see it with a long sleeve shirt on ...and you can barely see the bottom of the tat with a short sleeve on....I'd havta wear one of my sleeveless shirts.....
...still...it has given me some insight into the whole tattoo thing..which has always intrigued me...
...what was amazing to me...was the steady stream of people coming in to get tats.....
..it seems to be a good bizness too...the tattoo artist that did mine...works on a 50/50 split with the shop...they charge around $100 per hour....so they're pocketing $50 per hour....she probably " works" about 3-4 hours per day...so goes home with $200 per day...$1000 per week....plus tips....
...the place was very " clean"...all the needles and equipments come in sterilized packages, which are changed for each person....plus they go thru' an amazing amound of paper towels and other sterilizing stuff...anyway....like I said...no true biker dude oughta be seen widdout a tat :-)
