G,man,
I recognize that personal tastes are an elusive target...
but the only "influence" the designers of this bike had were copious quantities of cannabis....they ought to call it the "The Sportster High "....
I mean.... mirrors slung under the handlebars...wtf.....and that fat tire up front....plus that tiny lil' seat....sheesh....I could'nt ride that thang down the street and my butt would git sore...
Now I like the other Sportster..the one with the upswept exhaust....now that is a fine lookin' bike in mah book...

I saw that today in an e-mail. I like the way it looks. It's kinda that retro '50s style that is trendy right now. 48 is probably the year of the bike, or the year when a bike looked like that that they were styling it after. Did that make any sense? I think Harley should just bring the prices down on the blank canvases instead of creating custom looks to appeal to generate more buyers.

Yeah. PayLoader, that was kinda my way of thinking on the "48" also.
I actually like most of the recent variations on the Sportster, but it's still too small a bike for me.

48 hp maybe ??...nah, even the sporty has more power than that....48 contigious states maybe.....
$12-13K for this bike ???
48 payments ???....and this bike could be yours...
I'm thinkin' here...I'm thinkin'....
You have to fill up that peanut tank 48 times to get from here to there... ??
You havta be over 48 to appreciate it's origins... ???
ok...that's it...I'm outa ideas...

It misses the mark for me, but I can't really explain why. I usually like mirrors mounted low like that, but the bracket looks funky. This one of those bikes that probably looks better in person.
