I put into mapquest my route to Camp Wood on Saturday and i think its off. Its telling me the way i went was only 184 miles there, and should have taken a little over four hours, and it took me almost 6 hours, no real traffic to speak of. So im guessing that i input my route a bit wrong and probably did an additional 40 to 70 miles each way, putting me around 425 to 450 miles that day. And part of it was on one of the "sisters" (337) so it was a hell of a great ride, but boy were my thighs killin me the next day!

Beware of MapQuest maps! Once I received a wedding invitation that included a MapQuest map. I followed the map to the letter! I arrived at the wedding just before the baby was born! LOL! The map was so convoluted I couldn't believe it. Many guests were late so I guess it wasn't just me. I'll take a GPS any day over a MapQuest map! LOL!

If it's a nice long ride I'll use harley's web sight to get directions (sometimes stealers are good for somethin'). You can also adjust the directions as you go through the map, making it easy (short) or better (longer) of a trip as you want. Try it out. It's cool. Hawg out Great day for a short run.....

Googlemaps are far better than mapquest for sure. I usually map it out on both if i go somewhere i need to know how to get there, but mostly im just riding til i cant sit anymore when i ride so i usually dont need the destination.
