When i lived in Tucson i rode everyday and had a few different choices of rides. I liked my yamaha enduro because i could be cruzin along and then decide i wanted to on a nature ride. no prob. Houston is very humid and rains alot.
I still get alot of riding time. I love to ride, my wife would probably ride with me more but my passenger seat sucks and i can't afford to buy a better one.
We're going to get a larger bike with a better stock seat when i pay off my vstar in a year so we'll probably get more long range rides done. I'll look at that net sight lonestarrider.net. I hear west texas is a hell of a nice ride.
well i'll talk at ya'all later.. hawg gone for now.....

Living in MN somewhat limits the time to ride. In 2009 I didn't make 10,000 for the first time in many years. Have made over 20,000 before. I usually average about 15,000. Come to think of it, I probably made 10,000 this year considering I put about 1000 on my dualsport. Now I feel better!

Last year I was around 12k. I managed that by doing one of the AMA grand tours. I was out all the time riding everywhere. I was great.
This year I want to do around 8k to 10k. Since it is winter, my rides are fewer and far between but I still get out.
Every year I get my bike inspected by the same shop and he always looks at how many miles I put on since the last year. He then gives me this funny grin and says "that cant be right". My response is "Im just a freak" thats all.

Wow what a ride.... I just got back from tucson arizona, I actually took off two weeks from my day job and went on vacation. I stayed with my dad who lives in tucson. while there we went to some of the regular attractions, malls, caves, museums and of course 4th street. the only disappointment was when we stopped for a bite at two of the Denny's restruants in tucson. Man they burnt food and got orders wrong, it was the worst denny's we've every been to. My
Dad kept saying we should go to a place called "The Overpass Cafe", well we gave in on the last day we were there and man..... I tell ya what if i knew the food was so good we would have ate there every day. Not only was it great food but to feed 10 people only cost us 70 bucks. The place is down home great! So if ya'all find yourself in tucson and hungry go to the Overpass Cafe (but get there early because they open at 6am and close at 2pm).Well i'm gone for now, see ya'all on the streets.... hawg gone...

Well if they would serve the amount of good food for the price I got at "overpass cafe" then i'ld really get fat and spoiled.....L.O.L. I have to agree though the Denny's here in Rosenberg is pretty good and the service is good too.
I wish I was still in Tucson though because the weather is perfect for riding and you can't beat the scenic drives around the mountains and hills.
Well I'll post my new scoot on this sight when i get the chance, till then I'm off to see the wizard of blacktops and twisty turns. Hawg out.

I usually average 8-9K a year. Last year I only got in about 4K due to wife's illnesses and surgeries. She loves to ride and I felt guilty riding without here. She is so comfortable on the back of my '08 Nomad that she has been known to dose off once in awhile.

Falling asleep as a car passenger is one thing but on a bike?
That would scare me! I hope your wife does well with surgery and all but she must stay awake! Sorry to preach.

My daughter used to fall asleep on the back of the Ultra, she would just lean back and let the V-Twin lullaby put her to sleep. I threatened to put Velcro on her leather jacket!
