Grippy wrote: Fewer every year. Last summer was probably around 3K and it wouldn't have been that much if my daughters didn't like to ride so much. Since I started trailering the bike I go more places, have more fun and get less tired. It is great to relax the 200 miles home at the end of a long day.

Roger that Grippy . I bought some 10 foot aluminum ramps and built a chock ( sort of like Condor) to lock down my RoadStar a few years ago and have broadened my ride/explore horizons to no end. Load it in the Dura Max and head out .
However I gave up on the travel trailer and sold it after about three years . I think they are great but can be a lot of work too. So we are just making Hotel arrangements instead now.

I have an update, I just hit 50k on my 2006 v-star still mosly work related but i have had a few pleasurable rides to san antonio and austin. Although the one to austin i should have had a boat ( it rained all three days to and from ). so far i have replaced the armeture and the monoshock and several rear tires and a front tire. other then that it's been a perfect ride. I do think it's time for a tune up. I did put some E3 spark plugz but didn't notice any differance in milage or performance. Sorry it took so long to get back with ya'all but i've been a little busy. Drop ya'all a flag later.... Hawg gone...........

I put 22,000 on mine this year. We are gearing up for our annual ride to the Wall in DC on New Years Day.

8,500 miles this year. Mostly by myself. Gotta have my ME time. Noticed those Dunlop tires that Harley put on don't last very long, 4,500 for the back, 6,000 for the front. Maybe the south Florida heat has something to do with it. Did NOT go back for replacements. Got a set of Metzler marathons and couldn't be happier.

I didn't even make 10 grand. Gots excuses, but still, jeez, I guess its gonna be a long time before I see 100,000 on the odometer.

10 Grand? I just turned 12 Grand on my 00 VStar-Classic!
I sure do feel like a wannabe biker. LOL
I don't know what it is but, everytime I want to go riding, something comes along and prevents me from going! I wonder if my bride is up to that? Hmmmmm. LOL
Any of you guys have the same "problem"?

Yeah but the secret is to get a good comfortable pillion pad and invite her along. After she trys it she might like it!

You would think that would be a solution but, not when she walks 15 feet around the bike because she dosen't like it!
Good thought though.
Thanks

Yeah I have owned a bike for the last 3 years(this time around) and the better half just started riding for more than 15 miles this last year. The Nomad is a better two-up bike so that helped but I suspect a lot of the problem was she just did't trust ME enough to ride behind. I don't think she will ever ride as much as I would like for her to but hey, she doesn't say a thing about my riding if she doesn't want to go and THAT is huge.
