Hello,
Been away for a few months, and thought I'd say hi. I went to the 105th anniversary celebration in Milwaukee and saw Bruce Springstein in concert. It was a lot of fun! I was there to build a house for my sister and her family for 2 weeks, and the following weekend was the celebration. About 1000 miles each way.
Last month I deceided to ride up there again and help again with work on the inside. The day I was supposed to leave, I was involved in a wreck with my 2005 RKC. A person pulled out in front of me and I smacked her passenger side at 30 mph. Bike was totalled, I broke 7 bones and was out for 30 minutes. I have been staying in WI since it happened on Oct 2nd and arrived home last weekend. I am happy to be out of a wheelchair, and now just use a cane to get around.
The driver who caused had no insurance or license, and I just had liability because it had a salvage title. So I will without a scoot for quite some time I am sure. I need a frame and a lot of parts, and not sure if it is worth fixing even if I do all the work. Still I will research the cost of the parts, and dream of riding again in a year or so!

Georgia King, so sorry to hear how your riding season ended. Glad you are here to still entertain and educate us. Can't take a chance here to ride without insurance, over 150,000 drivers with suspended licenses, on the roads of Washington State. (Becasue it is a violation of their rights to impound the car when they are caught!!!) What about the rights of those who actually keep a valid license.....gack....end of rant,
GET BETTER quick!!!!
ps. you know why I ride slow?
Because old people heal slow.

Hey King, Sorry to hear about the wreck. Same thing happend to me a few years back on my Sporty. My 7 year old son was on the back. I broke my Right arm, and sprained my Left ankle, and had a concussion. She had insurance, but this was when Colorado was still a no fault state. Her insurance fixed my bike, and my medical bills got paid, and I ended up with money to pay off the bike and a little house I owned in Montana. I was out of work for a month. We have a lot of illegal immigrants here that have no insurance, I have to make that up with more of my own insurance. If there is anything I can give you let me know. I still have all my original engine parts, stock pipes, and engine guard. I may be able to find you some other stuff. There is a salvage yard here called Klode (kloady), they have tons of wrecked bikes. Glad you are ok.

That sucks. I'm glad that you're still alive. Can't you file a no fault claim with your insurance company???

I don't want to sound insensitive. I'm sorry if that's the way that I came off in the last post. I just hate it when a good guy gets fcuked. I still wear that Kuwait t-shirt. I'll always remember a bro that helps me out. That shirt still kicks ass. If I can help......please let me know. You've served. I remember.

In Delaware you have to have uninsured motorist insurance. It's the law. Personally, I'm glad that it is. The last time I was in a bike accident, the guy swerved into my lane and cut me off. He never even stopped or turned around. They paid me to fix my bike and I recieved a $10,000 settlement for my injuries. I used the money to buy an old school Triumph chopper. Old habits die hard.

Hello friends, I wonder if any of you installed a LED gas gauge on their bike? Caus'... I need help.
The gauge is installed and seem to work properly (look sweet!) however, there is a long grey wire that I'm suppose to route through a tunnel under the tank and add it to Speedometer connector 39B.
Can someone tell me where is connector 39B and how I can get to it? The instructions sucks and I do not want to mess up.
Thanks

Got it... I had to route the grey wire in front of the tank. The connector is the one connected directly on the speedometer.
The billet cross gas gauge looks awesome!!!

I have the same gauge on my bike. I like it. I bought the gas cap to match.
